If we knew how to act differently, we would.

I work with the patterns that repeat, the grief that has nowhere to go, and the relationships that keep breaking in the same place, in therapy and in family constellations. How we work depends on what you bring; the pace is set by what your nervous system can hold.

How booking works

  1. 1Write a message below.
  2. 2I read it and write back.
  3. 3We find a time together.

Therapy, constellations and listening therapy are all open. Cecilia arranges each one herself, so a message is the way in.

How I help you

You bring what is not shifting. I look at it from more than one direction: what is happening now, what your body is doing with it, the relationships around it, and the history it belongs to. From there I choose the way of working that fits, and I tell you what I am doing and why. You do not need to bring anyone with you. We can do this one to one, and it still moves the relationship.

Who you are working with

I am a psychotherapist, a facilitator of family constellations, and a certified listening therapy provider. I work with individuals, couples and families, in single sessions and in longer arcs, and I run group workshops in Brussels through the year. I do not rush to an interpretation, and I do not push for intensity. We decide together what happens next. I have practised since 2010, and through EISEC I train facilitators: the way I work with you is the way I teach others to work.

Background

More than fifteen years, and where I trained

For more than fifteen years I have sat with people in the hardest parts of their lives. I began with three years of medicine and psychology, went on to read psychology at UNED, and took my Diploma in Coaching at the University of Cambridge. My training in family constellations came in Spain and Germany, at ISPAB in Munich under Ursula Franke-Bryson and Thomas Bryson. I co-founded EISEC, the institute where I train facilitators today. I have never stopped studying: what I learn, from neuroscience onwards, is tested against the people in front of me. Away from the consulting room, I play music and paint.

Listening that can also lead

My starting point is client-centred: you set the direction, and I follow it carefully. That does not mean I only listen. I say what I see, I ask the question that has been waiting, and I am direct when that is what serves you. I work in talking therapy and in written exposure therapy, and when trauma is in the room the pacing changes: your body sets the speed, not the plan. Not every client needs the same method; you get the one that fits.

As an SSP provider

The first certified provider in Belgium

I am a Safe and Sound Protocol provider, certified through Unyte in 2020 and the first to be certified in Belgium. I trained with Deb Dana and Stephen Porges in Polyvagal Theory, the study of how the nervous system senses safety, and that understanding runs through all my trauma work.

As a facilitator

Training the practitioners you can book here

I learned this work as a student in Spain and Germany, and I translated Ursula Franke-Bryson's books into Portuguese, carrying her work to practitioners in Brazil. Then I stepped to the front of the room. I have taught facilitators across continents. With Simon Maebe I co-founded EISEC, the European Institute for Systemic Education and Coaching, and I taught its first training group. We wrote the three-year curriculum together, so the training holds to the standard we set.

Scope and safety

The right support at the right time

Sessions support change in how you live, relate and decide. They sit alongside medical and psychological care, and they do not replace it.

If you are in crisis right now, or you are having thoughts of harming yourself, please turn first to your doctor, to a crisis line where you live, or to the emergency services. If you are being treated for a psychiatric condition, or you have questions about medication, that care belongs with your prescriber, and our sessions can run alongside it.

If you are unsure where to start, ask us. We will tell you honestly whether this is the right support for you now.
